woah.

A wave of single-ness just hit me tonight.
    Guess that means I'll have to make a friend tomorrow night w/ Jessie for our girls night out..
         nothing a few drinks only 21 year olds can buy won't fix :)
In other news: my little sisters dog (Sadie) HATES sleeping in the crate but I can't sleep with her cause I feel like I can't move around at night.. so I am off to fall asleep to the musical whining of Sadie Maze for probably the next hour.

W.O.W. 2 blog post in 1 day.. I must be in need of a friend.. that's a boy.. haha :)

so today at work this couple came in.. they were both deaf. 

The other person that I worked with "couldn't handle trying to take their order"

so I gladly decided to help.

I can honestly say it was one of the most amazing feelings... I know it's silly but they have to deal with things like that every day.. but today.. I got to make sure that they enjoyed their restaurant experience and they looked really happy about and it made really happy..

I don't know why.. I don't know how to explain it but helping people ROCKS and having patients ROCKS.. and I also want thank them..for being patient with me.

& also I wanted to thank them for making me thankful.. I live such an easy life.. I can hear, I can see, I have 10 fingers & 10 toes.. 

I guess todays lesson is BE THANKFUL! You don't know what you've got till it's gone!

it's been a blah past few days for this one..

but I've been doing some thinking.

I am going to start trying this new give a person a compliment a day thing.

because today I had a complete stranger give me one and I have been nothing but smiles since..

maybe you should try it too?
what harm could it do? if anything it will make the world a better place.

it will make someone smile..or maybe bring them out of a crappy week.

I won't lie. I'm no daddy's girl..but every girl needs her dad.

Late August/ early September 2011 I received a phone call telling me that my dad had suffered from a heart attack and was going to have to have open heart surgery.. 5 bypasses.

after 2 weeks of hard praying my dad finally woke up from what he thought was a terrible dream.

2 weeks of sleepless nights for me.

2 weeks of not breathing on his own.

2 weeks that caused my dad to change forever.

I'm not going to say that he isn't the way he used to be.. because he has his days when he is MY dad..but other days he's just some man who calls me his daughter.. he's not the man I grew up knowing and loving..and learning how to be sarcastic with.

He gave me my sense of humor..my lack of being able to express my emotions until one little thing makes me explode..he gave me his nose.. and his eyebrows.. and his chicken legs.

I love him.. and I am so thankful that I could call him today and wish him a happy fathers day.

Today I'm taking Bear to the vet for the first time! I'm nervous for him!

 Tomorrow I will be attending the wedding for these two..

can't believe that he is getting MARRIED! I remember the day he told me he found the girl that he would be with for the rest of his life.. I thought he was crazy.. but he proved me wrong!

I am so happy for them! They are great together & I know they will live happily ever after! 

anyway.. sorry for not blogging much.. Bear & work have taken over!

Hump Day

so naturally instead of writing my 5 page paper I am blogging.

but I just wanted to say a few things...

1. This is my last week of classes before I am a SENIOR in college. ew.

2. I am 3 papers, 3 work days, & 5 test away from getting Bear (which means being done with school)

3. Tonight is my last free night of the semester.

4. I am ready for summer.

Also, I need to continue working on my New Years Resolution (surprisingly I have done a lot!) but there are a few I added after becoming single.. so I need to focus on those.. and my new dog on May 5th.
